On the Patio - Spiritual Wickedness in High Places

While many believers will acknowledge that the god of this world blinds the minds of those who believe not, they fail to realize he seeks to distract, divide, and attack the saints as well. There are counterfeit bibles, there is media propaganda, and false preachers. This is true of national leaders as well; most if not all are or will be controlled by the principalities and powers under the Dragon’s domain. Why, then, do believers give modern Israel a pass on the same points? Where does the idea come from that current national Israel is God’s Chosen People?

Article - War in Israel

As of the writing of this article, a group of Hamas terrorists breached a wall left unguarded by the Israeli Defense Force and took hostages, as well as killed a large number of civilians in Israel. Israel is responding with even greater force, attacking Gaza, where Hamas is located, and an even larger number of civilian Palestinians are being killed. It appears now that other fronts may possibly open up, with Hezbollah in Lebanon to the north, as well as Syria and Iran entering the fray. The US has also stationed warships in the Mediterranean Sea, so this conflict has the potential of blowing up into another world war. Is this a prophetic war? What is going on?

Brother Scott Answers Your Questions

(From unlockthebiblenow@gmail.com)

I am curious to know what denomination you are. I came across the podcast but wanted to get some clarity before listening.

Did you study anywhere for pastoral ministry? Sorry for prying, but if I am going to learn from someone I want to be sure I am like minded with them.

Perhaps you have a belief statement somewhere? I tried to look up the church you pastored at but can't seem to find a website.

Thanks,

Matt

Hi, Matt.

I appreciate you asking.

I am not affiliated with any denominational teaching, and I did not attend seminary or divinity school. I have taught and preached Bible classes for 35 years studying under teachers and preachers using a good old King James Bible since I was 17. I believe the Spirit of God teaches us, and we don’t need formal schooling. I have learned in the same manner as the 12. Though Paul was a learned Pharisee, he did not go to seminary to learn his gospel either.

I no longer pastor Grace Family Bible Church, as I retired from that a few years ago to focus on the podcast and online ministries. The church website no longer exists.

I do have a non-profit ministry website called utbnow.com which represents our Unlock the Bible Now, Inc. organization. You can find our mission statement and statement of faith there. Hopefully you can take advantage of the Bible messages we do each Sunday on YouTube and Rumble, or access them through our free Unlock the Bible Now app.

I hope this helps!

Back in the 80’s I belonged to the Herbert W and Garner Ted Armstrong Church. They were Very Big on the Saturday Sabbath and Old Testament holy days. You mentioned in your Bible Mysteries Episode 157 that in the millennium attendance at the Feast of Tabernacles will be mandatory. I am wondering if there is any reason to observe the Feast of Tabernacles today and the rest of the holy days ( Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement ) and the 7th day Saturday Sabbath? You don't have to answer back now. It's probably complicated. Maybe include this question in your future messages. Another Question...What level of technology would exist in the millennium? Would it be horse and buggy or something like we have today but more efficient and less wasteful?

Robert

Hi, Robert.

Thank you for writing. It is my belief that there is no reason to keep any feasts or holy days currently in this dispensation of grace. Paul addresses this for us:

"Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ." - Colossians 2:16-17

Those who must keep the feast in the millennial reign of Christ do so because the world is under the New Testament law that goes forth out of Zion. This is the ‘rod of iron” by which Christ rules. As to the technology, who knows? It could start with horse and buggy and end up at the end as advanced spacecraft!

I personally can’t wait to see.

Hello! I’ll start by saying I love your show. As I’m sure you’re aware of recent current events with Israel….I’ve been going back and reading Matthew 24. It seems as though prophecy is happening right before our very eyes with the “signs of the end of age” and the “abomination of desolation”. I’m wondering what are your thoughts on these events and will you be covering this on a future episode? Looking forward to your response!

Andre

Hi, Andre.

Thank you so much for writing and listening to the podcast!

Yes, I am sure the events in Israel are on every Seeker’s mind right now. I am devoting this month’s newsletter article to addressing this very subject, as well as beginning a series in November on the podcast called The Hidden Ones.

Also, be sure to catch Lo Ammi, Not My People on the Unlock the Bible Now app or YouTube/Rumble channels. You can also view the Sunday messages at utbnow.com.

Stay tuned, and we’ll keep you posted as events unfold!

In Christ,

Bro. Scott

Podcast Listener Testimonials

I love your podcasts. They are tremendously revealing! Blessings from Spain.

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the episode with Brad Davis. I found your podcast about 2 years ago, and have listened to every episode. But this one was special to me. I’m a published songwriter living in Louisiana. I’ve been commuting to Nashville about a week a month the past 10 years. I have a cut on Tim McGraw’s last album called Hallelujahville. It was great hearing the perspective of a Christ follower trying to navigate the music industry, which, as you know, can be very cruel and unforgiving. Also, I really enjoyed the songs! Especially the chord changes and melodies, not to mention all the guitar talk! Honestly, most contemporary Christian music bores me because it’s all the same. But this was different.

I've been listening for a couple years. John Potts is a great addition to the team and I recently became a Seeker. This is money well spent. I love that you guys know about Big Mike. You bring up stuff I've thought about but don't hear anywhere else. Thank you and keep up the great work.
