Based on Scott Mitchell's Bible Lesson Why the World Is Divided: The Prophetic Conflict No One Talks About.

The world is witnessing division on a scale that feels unprecedented. Societies fracture along national, political, ideological, and religious lines. Yet this fragmentation is not a symptom of modernity—it is the evidence of an ancient spiritual divide. Jesus Christ foretold this very division, and Scripture confirms its cause and its culmination.
"Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division." (Luke 12:51)
Jesus’ words are unmistakable. His coming, while bringing peace to the individual who believes, has divided the world between those who receive Him and those who reject Him. This is not a political or cultural rift; it is the foundational conflict of human history—between the kingdom of darkness and the Kingdom of God’s Dear Son.
The Red Horse of Division
In the Book of Revelation, the second seal is opened and a red horse rides forth, empowered to take peace from the earth:
"And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth..." (Revelation 6:4)
This global unrest, spreading through wars, upheaval, and conflict, is more than geopolitical tension. It is a sign. The division that Christ declared would follow His coming now plays out on the world stage, as nations unravel and unity dissolves—not because of economics or politics, but because the world cannot unite apart from Christ.
Israel’s Rejection and the Division That Followed
"There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings." (John 10:19)
Jesus’ claim to be the door of the sheep and the good shepherd sparked division during His earthly ministry. That divide has deepened over the centuries. Israel’s rejection of her Messiah, as prophesied in Hosea and fulfilled in type through their Babylonian captivity (Daniel 9:11), did not nullify God’s promises. Instead, it set the stage for a future reconciliation:
"And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer..." (Romans 11:26)
But until that day, Israel remains spiritually blinded, and the division persists—between the remnant who believe and the multitude who stumble at the stumblingstone (Isaiah 59:20, Matthew 21:42-44).
The False Assumption of Political Zionism
Many in the Church today hastily equate modern Israel’s political statehood with God’s covenantal restoration. Yet, as Galatians 3 makes clear, the promises were made not to seeds, but to Christ:
"Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one... which is Christ." (Galatians 3:16)
True Israel is found in Christ. The blessing promised to Abraham flows not through the bloodline, but through faith. Political support of Israel, absent faith in Jesus, is not the fulfillment of prophecy—it is a misinterpretation that overlooks the central role of the Gospel.
The Call to Reconciliation
"God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself..." (2 Corinthians 5:19)
Peace will never come by treaties or alliances. Unity will not be achieved by compromise or common ground. Reconciliation comes only through the cross. Whether Jew or Gentile, all must be reconciled to God through the blood of Christ. The old covenant was written on stone; the new covenant is written on hearts (Jeremiah 17:1, Hebrews 8:10).
The division we see is not over land or liberty. It is over the Lord.
"He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth." (Luke 11:23)
The Urgency of the Hour
Today, the lines are being drawn more sharply. The days of neutrality are ending. As spiritual deception deepens, God continues to call out through the prophets and apostles:
"Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us..." (Hosea 6:1)
The world will not be healed by policy, protest, or power—but only by the return to Jesus Christ. Time is short. The red horse gallops on. Now is the day of salvation.
Conclusion
This division is not accidental. It is prophetic. Jesus said it would be so. The choice each individual must make is not between nations or ideologies, but between rebellion and reconciliation—between rejecting Christ and receiving Him.
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
May those with ears to hear understand the times. May those who search the Scriptures find Christ at the center of prophecy. And may the peace of God, which passes understanding, reign in the hearts of those who believe.
