Demonic Portals in the Last Days and the Days of Noah

Jesus Christ gave a clear prophetic marker for the end of this age: “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:37, KJV). This statement reaches beyond surface-level observations of daily life and points to a deeper corruption that once overtook the earth.

Genesis 6 reveals that the “sons of God” took the “daughters of men,” producing offspring described as giants, or Nephilim. This was not merely moral decline—it was a corruption of all flesh. “The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence” (Genesis 6:11, KJV).

After the flood, Scripture begins to reveal the presence of unclean spirits. It appears that these disembodied entities continue to operate in opposition to God, influencing the world through unseen means.

The connection between those days and the present raises a serious question: are similar conditions returning as part of the last days?

Demonic Portals in the Last Days and Familiar Spirits

God gave strict commands to Israel concerning interaction with the spiritual realm. “Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God” (Leviticus 19:31, KJV).

Demonic Portals in the Last Days Through Forbidden Practices

The term “familiar spirits” indicates communication with unclean entities. This interaction was never neutral—it was defiling and led to separation from God. Deuteronomy 18 lists practices such as divination, witchcraft, and necromancy as abominations.

These practices were not simply cultural errors; they were attempts to access the spiritual realm apart from God. Scripture consistently shows that such attempts open doors that should remain closed.

The pattern is clear:

  • Idolatry leads to spiritual deception

  • Deception leads to communication with unclean spirits

  • Communication opens access to deeper corruption

This is not theoretical. It is a repeated warning throughout Scripture.

Demonic Portals in the Last Days and Sorcery (Pharmakia)

In the New Testament, the word translated as “sorceries” is the Greek word pharmakia. This same word is associated with both witchcraft and substances.

Demonic Portals in the Last Days and Pharmakia

Revelation 18:23 declares, “for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived” (KJV). The word used here connects deception with pharmakia—suggesting more than symbolic meaning.

Galatians 5:20 lists “witchcraft” among the works of the flesh, placing it alongside idolatry and moral corruption. These are not isolated sins; they function together.

There is a growing normalization of substances that alter perception and consciousness. While legitimate medicine serves a proper purpose, there is also a clear increase in the promotion of substances that open the mind to altered states.

Scripture warns that deception in the last days will be widespread. The connection between sorcery and deception suggests that what appears beneficial may, in some cases, be spiritually dangerous.

Demonic Portals in the Last Days and the Bottomless Pit

Revelation 9 provides a direct account of a portal being opened. “And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit” (Revelation 9:2, KJV).

From this opening come entities described in terrifying detail, bringing torment upon those who dwell on the earth. These are not symbolic forces—they are real, spiritual beings released into the physical realm.

This passage demonstrates that there are boundaries established by God, and when those boundaries are opened, the result is judgment.

The question is not whether such portals exist. Scripture confirms they do. The question is whether humanity is moving toward conditions that will allow such events to unfold again.

Demonic Portals in the Last Days and Human Attempts to Access the Spirit Realm

The Tower of Babel stands as one of the earliest examples of unified human effort against God. “Let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven” (Genesis 11:4, KJV).

God intervened directly, confounding their language and scattering them. The reason was clear: “now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do” (Genesis 11:6, KJV).

Demonic Portals in the Last Days and Repeated Patterns

Throughout history, men have sought access to realms beyond their authority:

  • Saul consulted a familiar spirit to call up Samuel (1 Samuel 28)

  • Babylon practiced sorcery and idolatry (Isaiah 47)

  • Mystery Babylon deceives nations through sorceries (Revelation 18)

Each instance reveals the same pattern—humanity seeking knowledge and power apart from God, resulting in deception and judgment.

Demonic Portals in the Last Days and Spiritual Warfare

Paul reminds believers that the true battle is not physical:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers… against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12, KJV).

The influence behind violence, corruption, and deception is spiritual. This is why God instructs believers to put on the whole armor of God—to stand in truth against unseen forces.

The last days will not simply be marked by political or social turmoil. They will be characterized by increased spiritual activity and deception.

Demonic Portals in the Last Days and the Return of Christ

Jesus warned that men’s hearts would fail them for fear “for looking after those things which are coming on the earth” (Luke 21:26, KJV).

This fear is tied to events and realities never before experienced on such a scale. The shaking of the heavens and the distress of nations point to a time of unprecedented upheaval.

Yet the instruction to believers is not fear—but readiness. “When these things begin to come to pass, then look up… for your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28, KJV).

The same world that moves toward deception and darkness will also witness the return of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory.

Demonic Portals in the Last Days Call for a Decision

The Scriptures present a clear contrast:

  • A world moving toward deception, sorcery, and spiritual rebellion

  • A Savior offering redemption, truth, and eternal life

There is no neutral ground.

“Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13, KJV).

The question is not whether these things are coming. The question is whether you are prepared.

Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. Believe that He died for your sins and rose again.

Through Him alone is deliverance from the wrath to come.

Be sure to look up—for our redemption draweth nigh.
