Based on podcast episode 255: Indoctrination – The Left vs Right Deception and the Spiritual Battle for Your Mind
The Nature of Indoctrination

The word indoctrination means the process of conditioning someone to accept a belief system without question. It is not education—it is manipulation. Scripture tells us that the god of this world has blinded the minds of those who do not believe (2 Corinthians 4:3–4). Satanic mind control is not limited only to unbelievers; it affects all of society through constant exposure to propaganda disguised as truth.
Both political factions—the left and the right—accuse each other of corruption, yet neither side recognizes that the real source of deception is spiritual. Satanic principalities and powers (Ephesians 6:12) orchestrate division so that humanity remains distracted, angry, and divided. The Left vs Right Deception is one of the enemy’s most effective tools to keep mankind from seeing the true battle being waged for our minds and souls.
A Reprobate Mind in Modern Times
Paul described the reprobate mind in Romans 1:28–32 as the result of rejecting God’s truth. The Greek word for reprobate—adokimos—means unfit, not approved, failing the test. It was used of metals that did not endure refining. Humanity, in its rejection of truth, has become spiritually unfit, unable to discern good from evil.
Today, we see this reprobate condition manifested in moral decay, confusion about basic truth, and blind allegiance to ideologies. Whether one identifies as liberal or conservative, the indoctrination process molds thought patterns through repetition, emotion, and fear. Social media feeds this condition daily, creating echo chambers that reinforce what people already believe rather than challenging them to think critically or seek spiritual discernment.
The Media as the Modern Pulpit
The media—both secular and alternative—has become the pulpit of indoctrination. Memes, reels, and commentary are edited to incite anger, mock opposing views, and divide families, churches, and even believers. Each side believes the other is the villain, never realizing that both are being played by unseen spiritual forces.
Second Timothy 3:8–9 warns that in the last days men will “resist the truth” and become “reprobate concerning the faith.” This describes our time perfectly. Indoctrination thrives when truth is replaced with emotion, and conviction is replaced with tribal loyalty. What began as political difference has become a moral battleground designed to pit brother against brother.
Renewing the Mind Through Christ
The only escape from indoctrination is spiritual renewal. Romans 12:2 commands us, “Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.” The transformation Paul describes is not achieved through political reform, protests, or party alignment. It happens when we surrender our thoughts to the mind of Christ.
When we are renewed in the spirit of our mind (Ephesians 4:20–23), we begin to recognize deception for what it is. Instead of labeling others as enemies, we pray for their deliverance. Instead of reposting outrage, we share truth in love. Instead of fearing worldly chaos, we rest in Christ’s sovereignty. The war for the mind cannot be won through elections or legislation—it is won through submission to God’s Word.
The True Battle: Spiritual Wickedness in High Places
The Apostle Paul made it clear that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against “principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12). This means the Left vs Right Deception is merely a shadow of the greater reality—the manipulation of humanity by unseen demonic forces.
As in the days of Noah (Genesis 6:11–13; Matthew 24:37–39), corruption and violence fill the earth. People justify sin under the guise of progress or tradition, unaware that both paths lead away from righteousness. Only Christ can restore what sin has corrupted. He alone brings unity and peace that no political movement can achieve.
(H3) A Call to Self-Examination
Paul urged believers to “examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith” (2 Corinthians 13:5). Before pointing fingers at political opponents, we must ask ourselves whether our own thoughts are being shaped by the Word of God or by media influence. Are we renewing our minds daily in Scripture, or are we being conditioned by the constant noise of the world?
When we pray for those deceived by indoctrination rather than despising them, we demonstrate the love of Christ. True change begins not in government halls but in the human heart transformed by grace.
Conclusion: No Political Solution
The world seeks political answers for spiritual problems, but no government can legislate righteousness. Indoctrination will continue as long as people refuse to recognize the demonic manipulation behind it. The answer is not to choose sides but to choose Christ.
As Ephesians 6:10–13 reminds us, we must “put on the whole armor of God” to stand against the wiles of the devil. The Left vs Right Deception will collapse when hearts turn to the truth of God’s Word. Until then, believers are called to stand apart from the noise, walk in discernment, and proclaim the Gospel that alone sets men free.
